10 Million Steps

Please join Angeline staff, students and individuals on Friday, September 21 at 1:00 pm at Angeline School & Industries, 11028 CH 44, Upper Sandusky to celebrate National Falls Prevention Awareness Day!  Join us and walk at your own pace in the climate controlled gym or outside on the walking track.  Our results will be combined and submitted to STEADY U to help reach the goal of 10 million steps to prevent falls.  See the attached flyer for more information.

SEPTEMBER HAPPENINGS AT ANGELINE

September 3 – Labor Day, Angeline School/Industries Closed

September 7 – Wyandot County Preschool Play-based Assessment, 8:30am-12:30pm at Angeline School.  Contact Kim Pachis, Preschool Supervisor, for more information at 419-447-2927.

September 11-16 – Wyandot County Fair.  Angeline School & Industries will be open every day during fair week.  BE SURE TO VISIT OUR ART CONNECTIONS BOOTH LOCATED IN THE MERCHANTS BUILDING! 

September 17 – Angeline Industries Board Meeting, 5:30 pm

September 20 – Wyandot County Board of DD Board Meeting, 7:30 pm.  Building & Grounds Committee will meet at 6:30pm to tour Angeline School & Industries.

18th Annual Ohio Adult Sibling Conference

The 18th Annual Ohio Adult Sibling Conference, “Reaching for New Initiatives”, will be held on November 2-3, 2018 at the Embassy Suites, 5100 Upper Metro Place, in Dublin.  Featured speakers will include Lori Horvath, “The New Waiting List Rule”; Kyle Corbin and Laurel Steedman, “Consider Technology First: Exploring the Possibilities”; and Mark Davis & Kelly Petty, “Provider Guide Plus…A New On-Line Tool to Review Service Providers”.  Registration is $125  and the form can be completed at www.ohiosibs.org.  If you need more information, contact Bobbi Montenegro at 330-705-8367.

CRISIS INTERVENTION/MUI REPORTING/24-HOUR ON CALL PROCEDURES

The Wyandot County DD Service & Support Administrators (SSAs) will provide 24-hour on-call services in response to emergency situations (i.e., alleged, suspected or known abuse, neglect, or other major unusual incidents) involving individuals with developmental disabilities.

The SSA office is open Monday-Friday, 8am to 4pm, is located at 11028 County Highway 44, Upper Sandusky OH and the phone number is 419-294-4901.  SSAs are available for information and referral purposes, in addition to emergency situations.  Eligibility is determined concurrent to the crisis as applicable.

After 4:00 pm on weekdays, on weekends and holidays, contact the SSA on-call to assist in emergency situations that may occur.  The on-call SSA can be reached by calling 419-294-4901, press Option 4 and leave a message for the on-call SSA.  The on-call SSA will receive your voice mail and your call will be returned shortly.
